I like the old songs,
The songs tried and true;
But strange as it seems,
New songs I like too;
Yes, I like them all,
Whether fast or slow,
By solo or choir,
In pitch high or low,
By young or by old,
As long as they’re sung
To glorify Him
Who on a Cross hung

And the Father who,
Through unequaled grace,
Gave his only Son
To die in my place;
I sing with my heart
Much more than my voice
For I can’t contain
The urge to rejoice
That within me swells
And unceasing grows
As with gratitude
My heart overflows.
