Poetic
Justice
Boil me, bake me, roast me, fry me, drown me in a storm;
Throw me headfirst down the gullet of a forty-foot-long worm;
Chain
me to an electric chair in front of bad cartoons;
Paste me with banana mash in a room with ten baboons;
Make
me dig a car-size tunnel through a diamond wall,
And give me naught to cut it with except a toothpick small;
Place
a dozen angry crabs inside my baggy pants;
Feed me naught for twenty years but marinated ants;
Make
me write a thousand love notes,
And to all my good friends show ‘em;
But never, never, never, never
Make me write a poem!
