      St. Johns River Bar Pioot William Lame (swordsman in French) was born in Brest, France. He purchased the third lot on Baton Island from Kingsley Beatty Gibbs on Oct 1, 1851.. His house is the oldest remaining in Pilot Town. It is about 180 feet further north than when it was built. source unkown
